SYFT is an interface with comprehensive filtering and sorting options for video content.

Selecting content for viewing at home or on a personal device has not changed since the days of Blockbuster video. Content is grouped for the viewer’s selection in one of three categories:

• New Releases/Titles “New” to the service

• All titles within a selected genre presented alphabethically

• Staff Picks (including curated collections and AI suggestions)

SYFT replicates modern online shopping in the way you might shop for pants. While pants shopping, you might find filters for gender, cut, material, waist size, inseam, and color, and you can sort by price (most OR least expensive), and popularity. Adding advanced options similar to this would allow users to probe the depths of platform libraries to efficiently find what they would like to watch. They would also be able to save searches (an eBay feature) so they can easily revisit this search another time.
