Marv

Marv is a thaumatrope, a simple animation toy featuring a cardboard disc with an image on each side. When the disc is spun, the images combine. The most famous example features an empty bird cage on one side, and a bird on the other.

Marv

Marv is my first experiment with the thaumatropes. It features an unblemished Wet Bandit (from “Home Alone” (1990)) on one side, and the battle damage he sustains on the other.
